Welcome to YogaVahini Sangama 2025!

YogaVahini warmly invites all alumni and current students to join us for Sangama 2025, from January 16th to 19th at SRCM Babuji Memorial Ashram (Heartfulness Foundation) in Manapakkam, Chennai. This special gathering offers an opportunity to re-ignite our Śraddhā and deepen our commitment to the practice, study, and teaching of yoga. It is a time to share our journeys, and inspire each other in a spirit of community and growth.

Our Journey Together

Since our inception in 2008, YogaVahini has been dedicated to fostering a deep understanding and practice of yoga. What began in Hyderabad under the name Yoga Jyoti evolved into YogaVahini in 2010, with our Chennai center inaugurated on Guru Purnima in 2014.

Over the years, YogaVahini has grown into a vibrant community with active hubs in Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, and even beyond Indian shores. Our alumni, spread across the globe, continue to carry forward the teachings, enriching their communities while staying connected with us and other senior teachers in the tradition.

Since 2008, YogaVahini has rolled out:

– 17 batches of Yoga Sādhana,

– 18 batches of Yoga Ācārya/Yoga Instructors Training Program (YITP),

– 6 batches of Yoga Vaidya.

Impacting over 500 people over the years, with over 150 Yoga Vaidyas spread across the world (including the 6th Vaidya batch graduating in February 2025).

We have also done numerous workshops and study retreats offering our alumni opportunities for continuous learning and growth.

These programs have been conducted across various locations, including online platforms, and have been supported by a dedicated team of teachers and mentors who have been with us for over 16 years.

Looking Forward: Sangama 2025

Sangama 2025 will be a three-day festival filled with enriching sessions, including special programs led by senior teachers from our tradition. This is your chance to return to your alma mater, reconnect with old friends, and forge new bonds in the vibrant spirit of Yoga Sanga.

January is an ideal time to visit Chennai, with pleasant weather and the city alive with cultural festivities.

At the Sangama event, we want to consolidate all that you have been doing individually, with peers, or with YogaVahini over the years. With the 6th Vaidya batch graduating in February 2025, we have a good strength of 150+ Yoga Vaidyas spread across the world.

What you can expect at Sangama 2025!

The four-day Sangama event begins on January 16, 2025, with an Alumni Meetup followed by a cultural evening. On January 17 and 18, the day starts with parallel morning yoga practices for stress resilience, women’s health, healthy aging, and children’s yoga. Both days feature special alumni sessions, workshops with senior teachers, asana explorations, tea breaks, and cultural events, with a graduation ceremony on the 18th. On January 19, the final day, there are workshops for the general public, covering a range of yoga practices, and the event concludes with a session for alumni and lunch.

We are privileged to have 5 senior teachers, direct and long terms students of Sri T Krishnamacharya and Sri TKV Desikachar offer workshops on this occasion: Sri Srivatsa Ramaswami, Smt. Lakshmi Ranganathan, Dr. Latha Satish, Sri Raghu Ananthanarayanan and Sri R Sriram.

While you might have studied with these teachers in-person or online, having all of them share their collective wisdom at this retreat will indeed be a special treat!
