Do you find assessing your students a challenge?

Are you clear on what you should be looking for?

Do you find it hard to formulate therapy programs based on what you see?

Join Saraswathi Vasudevan and Dr Rob Lamport for this half day workshop, as they combine their experience to assess students with musculoskeletal (scoliosis/Low back pain) issues.

Saras and Dr Rob will observe real students, and together, they will share their findings: what they see and believe is needed to help each student.

Saraswathi will utilise her knowledge of yoga therapy to understand what is bothering a person, its impact at multiple levels, including the breath and mind, and how to guide a person step by step towards holistic healing.

Dr Rob’s approach is primarily western, with a strong focus on postural analysis and understanding of human movement. His deep knowledge of how muscles and joints interact in health and disease will help provide new insights and tools that you can utilise with your students.

Saraswathi Vasudevan is a yoga teacher, trainer and therapist in the tradition of Sri T Krishnamacharya. She has nearly three decades of study, practice and teaching experience in this tradition, having studied directly with Sri TKV Desikachar for over 17 years and other senior teachers.

She is the co-founder of YogaVahini, a Specialised Yoga Training, Therapy and Research Centre with centres in Chennai & Hyderabad and a presence in other cities in India and worldwide. Saraswathi currently serves on the Voluntary Board of Directors of Yoga Alliance, the largest international yoga certifying and credentialing body.

Dr Rob Lamport specialises in the Gonstead method of Chiropractic, a precise approach to correcting problems of the spine and joints. He was awarded a Master’s degree in Chiropractic from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in the United Kingdom.

He is the founder of More Than Anatomy, an online education platform for yoga teachers that aims to help them better understand the human body in health and disease.

Having first developed a strong interest in health in 1992, he has been practising yoga for the past 25 years and the last 11 under Sri O P Tiwariji.

So join us for this unique session that will illustrate new ways to conduct an assessment and the rationale behind the personalised therapeutic approach.
